Testing wastewater for Covid 19. Advice on wastewater testing strategy for England, including a review of potential technical capabilities (sampling, locations, data analysis, market forces) and the ethical implications of testing wastewater.

Horizon scanning for Home Office CAID

Identifying the elements of an images. Undertook a technology horizon scan to identify current and emerging technological options for using computer vision to identify an element image. Concept development for Counter Terrorism Policing. Identification of illegal content in key files. Evaluation of current available solutions; creation of dedicated new solution.

Horizon scanning for GCHQ

Verification of Children Online. Examined available and emerging technology solutions for organisations to identify or estimate the age of online users, including biometrics and behavioural analysis tools.

Automated moderation of online content. Analysis of tools and methods used by online media owners to moderate user-generated content, including the important part that human moderation plays.

Technology strategy for the National Crime Agency

Translation of nonverbal online communication. Evaluation of the potential for existing and emerging content translation and analysis tools to be used to uncover hidden meaning in messages containing nonverbal communication, including emoticons, emojis and memes.
